Ghunyat al-Talibin: An Analytical Study of the Book and the Methodology and style of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA)

 

Shaikh Abdul Qader Jailani (RA) rendered countless services in the field of Islamic sciences. He authored numerous books on various subjects. His well-known book, Ghunyat al-Talibin, is among his most famous works. In this book, he did not merely identify jurisprudential rulings but also provided their solutions, a quality that is clearly reflected in every chapter of Ghunyat al-Talibin. A distinctive feature of this book is that it is not limited only to juristic discussions or Sufi doctrines; rather, it presents religious knowledge in a balanced manner by dividing it into intellectual, spiritual, and practical dimensions.
